Best Kung Fu Training App

We’re going to list the best 5 Kung Fu training apps that we know of. Give a brief description of each and discuss what we like and don’t like in these Kung Fu training apps.

1) Learn Kung Fu

Our first Kung Fu training app were going to be looking at is called Learn Kung Fu. Unfortunately for IOS users this Kung Fu app is only available for Android users.

Learn Kung Fu App Software Requirements & Additional Information

Let’s first take a look at this Kung Fu apps requirements and statistics as of I’m writing this article.

  • Last updated – February 22, 2018
  • Current version – 1.0
  • Developer – ahmed.rohym@gmail.com
  • Size – 4.0 MB
  • Android requirements – 4.0.3 and up
  • Active Installs – 10,000+
  • Content Rating – PEGI 3
  • Language – English
  • Price – Free though it contains advertising
  • Rating – 4.3 out of 5 (225 reviews)

Not to shabby, I mean the app got a nice 4.3 out of 5 from over 200 reviewers. I think that really shows potential and it doesn’t seem to require any hardcore resources from your phone. Unless your rocking some kind of ancient relic, pretty much all phones bought in these last 5 years can handle it.

Learn Kung Fu App Review

I was expecting a bit more, thought to be honest it’s a ‘free app’ they still spam you with advertising so it’s not really free but you know what I mean. It gets a 3 out of 5 from me.

Essentially all that this app is, an organised content curator. Basically you’ve got 12 categories which are:

  • Warm ups, stretching and strengthening
  • Stance
  • Punching
  • Kicking
  • Blocking and attacking
  • Meditation
  • Forms
  • Weapon Training
  • Wing Chun
  • The praying mantis
  • Northern shaolin
  • Iron palm

It’s not bad don’t get me wrong, but I was expecting the creator of the app to show us the techniques instead of taking youtube videos and putting them under a category. I mean I can just go on google and type what I want you know.

There’s also a section called ‘New Releases’. Found that to be a bit interesting as you don’t have to continuously keep yourself updated with content creators on youtube. Just click the ‘New Releases’ button and all the new content appears.

2) Kung Fu!

For our 2nd Kung Fu app we’re going to be looking at an IOS Kung Fu training app called Kung Fu!. Sadly I don’t own an Iphone, so I can’t really make proper reviews for the IOS but I’ll try to explain the app as best as I can.

Kung Fu! App Software Requirements & Additional Information

Let’s take a look at this Kung Fu app requirements and statistics as of I’m writing this article.

  • Last Updated – Jun 25, 2018
  • Current version – 2.0

  • Size – 36.5 MB
  • IOS requirements – 8.0 and up
  • Content Rating –  Rated 4+
  • Language – English
  • Price – $3.99

Looking at the statistics of this app, it looks like it has a lot more information than the previous one which only consisted of 4.0 MB.

Kung Fu! Review

As previously stated I don’t own any IOS productus so the review of this Kung Fu training app is going to be rather weak.

From the information, i’m getting on the product page it seems that the app’s purpose is to show you graphics with instructional tips. Kind of like how they used to learn in ancient times with scrolls and graphics.

To be honest I sometimes prefer images to that of video when I’m learning a new technique, sad I can’t see what this app truly has to offer. If anyone in the comments section tried this Kung Fu app, I’d be enlightened to hear your views.

Sadly this seems to be the only Kung Fu learning app on IOS thats in english. There’s also another one called Kung Fu HH, though it’s in german. I have no idea how to speak german, if you do, feel free to check it out. The interface actually looks really great sad they haven’t translated it to english, I’d bet it would be one of the best Kung Fu training apps if they did.

3) Learn Kung Fu at home

The 3rd Kung Fu training app to make onto the list is Learn Kung Fu at home. This Kung Fu app only works for android users unfortunately.

It’s a bit of an old Kung Fu app, being last updated in 2015. Though I’m quite surprised by the ratings 4.4 out of 5 amazing and with over 600 people reviewing it that’s even more impressive.

Learn Kung Fu at home Review

I’m impressed 5 out of 5, anyone learning Kung Fu has to get this free Kung Fu app right now. It’s nothing to complex, it basically functions like an e-book. It’s got over 200 pages of Kung fu content, with no ads.

Perfect for anyone who’d like to learn more about Kung Fu while there waiting for something or someone. Maybe while your on the bus, waiting for an appointment or before a lesson starts are all perfect times to squeeze in some extra Kung Fu knowledge.

4) Learn Kung Fu 2

The 4th Kung Fu app we’re going to be looking at, is also called Learn Kung Fu. This one’s also for the android users.

This Kung Fu training app got the highest rating from all the Kung Fu apps on google play store, and the highest amount of active installs. Lets see what this Kung Fu app has to offer.

Learn Kung Fu 2 Review

Disappointed to be honest, it’s pretty much the same app as the previous Learn Kung Fu. One of these guys full on copied and pasted each others idea with the same name and everything. Only things different is the starting design. The first Learn Kung Fu app had more categories but I liked this one’s design a bit better. I’m surprised no one claimed for copyright as it’s literally the same idea.

Anyways the categories for Learn Kung Fu 2 are:

  • Warm up and beginner exercises
  • Shaolin Style
  • Wing Chun Basic Lessons
  • Shaolin Training
  • Forms and styles
  • Stretches and moves
  • Hand Strikes
  • Kicking Tips
  • Kicking Technique

It’s not a bad kung fu app, If your a beginner Kung Fu practitioner I think you’ll find it very useful.

Concluding Best Kung Fu Training App Full List {Android & IOS}

We were originally going to list 5 Kung Fu training apps. Though after checking each Kung Fu app on google play store and the IOS store it seems that all the Kung Fu apps are a copy paste of each other so we found no point in listing the last one.

If you happen to create a different kind of Kung Fu training app and would like to have it listed here or you know of such a Kung Fu app. Feel free to message me and we’ll get it listed ASAP.
